Join us for a refreshing yoga workshop accommodated for all levels of yoga experience specifically for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Sign Language Interpreter community.

Taught by a 200 hour Certified Yoga Teacher, this workshop is designed to enhance your strength, flexibility, and body awareness. You will leave with tools to support and honor your body in your daily life and professional practice

Objectives:

1. Inclusive Environment: This workshop is crafted to be welcoming and inclusive for all participants, regardless of their level of experience with yoga or sign language.

2. Focus on Body Awareness: Explore how to enhance your body awareness through yoga postures (asanas), proper breathing techniques (pranayama), and stretches specifically beneficial for those who use sign language extensively.

3. Understanding Physical Language: Delve into the unique physical demands of sign language communication and learn yoga techniques that support and strengthen the muscles and joints commonly engaged in signing.

4. Respect and Honor for Your Body: Cultivate a deeper appreciation for your body's capabilities and limitations. Learn how to listen to your body, adapt poses as needed, and practice self-care.
