The NAOBI-DC Elections Meeting will be held at the end of the Seminar on Saturday, November 09, 2024 at 4 PM ET.

The Election Meeting is open to all members regardless of whether you are attending the Seminar, however, you must register to attend the election.

Refers to people who wish to attend the Seminar who are not a current member of NAOBI-DC.

NAOBI-DC members who are members in good standing with RID and NAOBI-DC.

Student Members

People currently enrolled in an Interpreter Training Program (ITP/IPP/IEP) and who are current members of NAOBI-DC in good standing.

Seminar Registration:

    • Must verify student status with student email


Non-CEU Attendee:

Current members of NAOBI-DC who are not interpreters, yet support the interpreting profession community. 

Seminar Registration:

    • Audit Only (no education credits / no CEUs provided)


FAQs

How much does the Seminar cost?

We have several pricing tiers for members and nonmembers.  For member pricing, you must log into your NAOBI-DC account. 


How many CEUs will I receive? 

You can receive a total of 0.6 CEUs.

0.3 PS/PPO and 0.3 PS.


I want to become a member. Will I still receive the discount?

Yes. However, please note membership dues collected before October 31st will not carry over to the new year. Following our bylaws in section 3.1, "Payments received after October 31st will be applied to the next year’s assessment." 


Can anyone attend the election meeting? 

Yes.  You must register.  Also, voting privileges differ depending on NAOBI-DC membership level.


Can I receive a refund? 

Yes, before the Seminar.  After the Seminar, refunds will not be issued.


Will the conference be accessible? 

Yes.  The workshops will be conducted in ASL. To submit a reasonable accommodation email Liaison@naobidc.org


How can I become a Seminar sponsor and what are the benefits? 

We encourage you to email treasurer@naobidc.org to receive a letter on packages, benefits, and pricing.
